STEVE HUTCHESON 

Hutch has coached volleyball for 12 seasons. He started playing volleyball in 1969 on his high school varsity team. Through the years, he has played in Open and BB divisions. He attended Abilene Christian University where he earned a B.B.A. and an M.B.A. Hutch obtained a J.D. from Texas Tech School of Law. He has been involved with the Dallas Christian Schools volleyball program, where he was an assistant varsity coach and an assistant coach for both the 7th and 8th grade teams.

Hutch attends the USA Volleyball CAP III and High Performance Coaches’ Clinic at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He holds several USA Volleyball certifications including: IMPACT, CAP I, CAP II and CAP III certifications (1 of only 5 CAP III coaches in the North Texas Region). He also holds the USA Volleyball IMPACT Clinician certification. For the past two years, Hutch has served as an evaluator for the USA Volleyball High Performance program at several HP Tryouts across the United States where his focus has been on outside hitters in the Youth Division.

Hutch is currently working with the Vision 21 Group in Nairobi, Kenya to improve the infrastructure of volleyball. 2011 was the first year that Protege Hutch Camp was conducted in Nairobi, Kenya. While in Nairobi, Hutch had the opportunity to conduct a free camp for the kids in the Mathare Slum of Nairobi. In the Spring of 2012, he intends to conduct a Coaches Clinic and later in the year, the 2nd Annual Protege Hutch Camp. Through the camps and clinics, Hutch has been allowed to share his faith in the Lord.

Hutch is a member of the following organizations: United States Volleyball Association; American Volleyball Coaches Association, the National Federation of High School Volleyball Association, Texas High School Coaches Association and the Texas Girls Coaches Association. He is the Volleyball Director for Taylor’s Gift Foundation and directs the 4-T 4 on 4 Volleyball Tournaments held in the DFW area, benefitting the Taylor’s Gift Foundation. Hutch is President of Hutch Volleyball, LLC.

 

MEREDITH YIELDING

Meredith (Mere) has been involved in volleyball most of her life. She is a 2011 graduate of Dallas Baptist University where she was very involved with the varsity volleyball team. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Christian Studies with a concentration in Sports Ministry.

In high school Mere earned the following honors and awards:

  • 2-year Captain
  • Team MVP
  • District New Comer of the Year
  • 1st Team All District
  • Honorable Mention All State

Mere is passionate about developing her students into secure young women as well as top players. She is a USA Volleyball IMPACT certified coach. Mere has coached at Victory Volleyball Club and is currently the varsity coach of Texoma Christian School. She co-leads Hutch Camp and provides private lessons.
